  1. What kinds of Salt should I use in my Spa?

    Any brand of salt will be fine, but please be sure it is greater than 99% pure salt! Mortons sells pool specific salt in 40# bags and in more manageable 4# boxes of canning salt.

    Salt Works also sells several great specialty salts for spas and hot tubs.

  2. How much Salt should I use in my Hot Tub?

    TechniChlor and ColorChlor manuals recommend a salt level of close to 3,000 ppm and a bit less for real wooden tubs. The amount of salt will depend on the size of your tub in gallons. Most will take about 5 pounds, but please refer to the manual for the specific amounts of salt for your particular tub.
